Hanwha Q CELLS is a global leading photovoltaic manufacturer of high-performance solar cells and modules. Hanwha Q CELLS’s patented passivation technology improves the efficiency of light conversion into electricity, allows more energy to be extracted from the solar cell, and enables it to remain durable through the manufacturing process. Our technology also lowers the cost of solar energy, making solar energy more accessible and affordable.
The complaints filed with the ITC and the District Court allege that JinkoSolar, LONGi Solar, and REC Group are unlawfully importing and selling solar products that infringe Hanwha Q CELLS’s patented passivation technology. The complaints filed with the Regional Court of Düsseldorf allege that JinkoSolar GmbH and REC Solar EMEA GmbH are similarly infringing our patent in Germany by offering, distributing, and importing solar products that use our patented technology. Likewise, the complaints filed with the Federal Court of Australia allege that JinkoSolar, LONGi Solar, and REC are importing and selling solar cells and modules that infringe Hanwha Q CELLS’s Australian patent rights.
